There are others who have ‘escaped’. Sometimes though, they’re so starved (given NO water, no food) that as one of the docs said who took an ‘escapee’ in, he look like he escaped a ‘concentration’ camp - has never seen someone so emaciated, caused by lack of care. The man didn’t survive, but he had gained consciousness long enough to see his wife was with him and to know he was ‘safe’ before he passed away.
I have a couple of emergency numbers on my phone in the event my mom/dad have to go to the hospital (dad in particular). Advocates, etc. who can help if they saddle him with a positive COVID test. Funny thing ... when I had to go to the ER this spring & then had surgery (outpatient), the only time my vax status was asked was in the ambulance. Never had a COVID test in the ER, for surgery or anything. I hope things are loosening up ... now if we can just get the cardiologist to drop the mask mandate .... all these heart failure patients who have trouble breathing as it is & they have to mask up!
