Watching only 5 minutes of MLB ‘Highlights’ can tell you the ball is juiced...leaving yards on lame swings. Judge’s ‘record’ needs an asterisk.
Juiced ball...short fences...pitchers consistently hitting 90+...pitchers unable to reach 90 (ever)...expanded strike zone...batting lead-off (yesterday’s double-header Judge batted in front of Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the first game and Anthony Rizzo in the nightcap)...batting in front of Lou Gehrig (Lou Gehrig, for crying out loud...check out Gehrig’s stat line in 1927)...DH...extended travel (farthest Ruth had to travel was to St. Louis)...
Each era has its advantages/disadvantages. Still gotta hit the ball, and consistently to do what both men did.
Judge hit 62 home runs.
The second most HRs in the American League is 39 (Mike Trout).
The most HRs in the National League is Karl Schwarber’s 46.
Tell them the ball is juiced.
