My dating rules:
We chat first, before I waste my time meeting you. I have found that this saves me a lot of time, because within a minute or two it will be evident that the conversation is flowing well or not. If we’re have fun talking, let’s meet!
But about 75% of the time, it’s a no-go. You can tell a lot from a voice and how a lady speaks. Maybe she has a grating voice, or interrupts you constantly. I did interviews for a living way back, so I’m pretty good at picking up tidbits to ask about and to keep the conversation flowing. Sadly, it’s a rare quality to find.
One recent lady I spoke with, who was a promising prospect, kept asking if I was ‘a Trump supporter’. I dodged the question, because I knew where this was going.
Finally I said, “I support some of his policies...”
Which got me an ear full of what a terrible person he was, etc. I finally said, “Okay, that’s enough. I’m not listening to your name calling and hate, just because of who people voted for.”
Sad, because we seemed to really click. It has become a qualifier similar to religion. Protestants don’t date Catholics.
Lots of chicks on dating sites end their profile with “No Trump Supporters!”.
