I don’t care who published what. If the book is sinful and published by a major New York publishing company or self published, makes no difference to me.

I’m not sure why you’re trying to excuse the awful comparison of Trump to Jesus.
Trump lowered gas prices. Jesus saved our souls from sin. Big difference. The biggest in fact.

There was a time we came very close to moving to Israel in the 90s.
My wife is Jewish, as are my daughters, and according to Jewish Law, every kid they pop out regardless of the dad, that child is also Jewish.

Many Americans live abroad for whatever reasons for whatever length of time.
I was still going to be an American citizen, just living abroad.
Now you find something wrong with that??
You have a huge list of Freepers here that have or still do live abroad. Better get busy being miffed at them too.

I still plan on traveling to the Holy Land. I think about how spiritual and inspiring it will be to stand when Jesus stood. To walk where he walked. To visit the tombs of King David and others.

The Holy Land Blessed by God. I’m excited just thinking about it.

Yes, my wife and daughters are Jewish. We raised them with both influences and traditions. We know Jesus is Jewish, and a practicing Jew at that.

My home, my life, my love is Detroit, Michigan.
I was born there, lived there, worked a career there, got married there.
I served the people of the City of Detroit with Honor and respect.
Every single patient I had on my Stretcher I treated as if they were my most beloved Grandmother.

I carry memories in my heart from that City. Many are awful, screams of mothers as their babies are dying as I’m working them to save their life.

I carry joys in my heart of getting Married to my beautiful young wife in 1989.
Joy of spending time together before we started have babies.
Entertainment, fine dining, sporting events, concerts.

During the 68’ riots I remember we had to evac to my Grandparent’s home in Redford Twp. (Borders Detroit). I recall seeing the Nation Guardsman look into the car seeing my mother with 3 young kids trying to get out and we were allowed because we are white.

I saw hate and love in Detroit. I saw death and life too.

Sometimes I have a hard time trying to understand how or why I survived when many did not.
When I first retired I would randomly cry. I was convinced that because I was no longer there (I was a great medic and knew it) I thought people would die.

But my smart beautiful wife finally convinced me that people died when I was there. That I use to always say there are 2 rules.
Rule 1, People die.
Rule 2, You can’t change rule 1.

Detroit is in me. The people (yes mostly democrats and mostly black) are also in me and a part of me.
I’m not proud of the ugliness. I pray and wish it wasn’t so.
But I would still risk my life to help people in their most dire times.
