Unfortunately, The practice of law is the most common path to the presidency. Military service is #2

appreciate your dig, chuckster. of course you are correct.

I did qualify my post by limiting the universe to the “modern era” and for me that took me back to WWII & Ike.

looking to the future, it seems successful business men do a good job. I woulda voted for Lee Iacocca or Ross Perot type candidates

maybe they should make a law that no lawyers would be allowed to run for president?
