Tesla sales kept skyrocketing through the shutdowns and chip shortages. And EVs use more chips than ICE vehicles.

Yeah, I’m sure they could get enough chips when they sold less than 500k cars last year.

I’m also sure Toyota had no problem getting enough chips for 500k cars too. It’s the 10+ million that caused a problem.

It’s also easy for sales to skyrocket when you are at the bottom.

I’m not saying that Tesla will always be at the bottom, but it’s ridiculous to compare their growth to any other manufacture at this point.
It’s easy to double sales, when you have no sales. You either have to grow or go out of business.

Actually, Tesla sales in 2021 came to 936,000 cars.
