So, far all of my pie peers on FR, I decided to make an apple pie today, but instead of using lard, I used butter. I used the same recipe, just subbed the butter for the lard. So far, so good. It gets more golden, but it basically worked the same.
I may keep this pie rather than give it away. I’ll let y’all know how it tastes later. It certainly LOOKS like a good pie....so there’s that lol.
