Remember though, the Bolshevik movement was an atheistic feminist homosexual movement initially. Soviet men threw off all restraints and left their wives and families for Moscow Orgies. Russia collapsed economically within months and 12 million women and children became homeless overnight. Side note: Herbert Hoover literally saved Russia from famine when he brought US Grain and foodstuffs via railroad across Russia. It was only then, when faced with an existential crisis, that the Politburo outlawed homosexuality.

Yes, they ran into a little thing called "reality." It forced them to become socially conservative, and so far as I know no Communist country since has behaved any differently. Plus recall that throughout the entire Cold War the Communist world harped on the "decadent West." And Communists of a former era regarded homosexuality as a species of "bourgeois decadence." The Communist Party of Greece (the most old-line Stalinist party still in existence) is still against homosexuality!
In fact, is Putin's policy on homosexuality any different from his Communist predecessors? I don't think so. Yet the Left never did, and still does not, attack "homophobic" Communist (or islamic) countries.
Opposition to homosexuality has nothing to do with being a "true Russian" or a "true American." It is to adhere to Universal Divine Law.
