Me too. I read the book, and watched the movie (1978). Ernest Borgnine was in it. I recently read a technical booklet/report about the crash. It stated that Captain Robert Albin Loft had a small benign brain tumor. I don't remember if that info was in the book or not. There's an upcoming TV program on Travel Channel on October 28, 2022:
