We raised our kids to “Look it Up”. My daughter says that’s the most valuable lesson she learned growing up. She learned a lot of other stuff too, fortunately, but she credits that as a major contributor to her success.
Side note: When I was in the 3rd grade, we had a special guest come to our class to talk to us about looking things up for ourselves. He then showed us how to do it. At the end of the class we got a certificate from the “Look It Up Club”, which I still have. 3rd grade in the 50s. That was back when you got real education in public schools.
