Why is everyone around here so hot to think that the US Navy would attack the energy infrastructure that an ally, Germany, needs to survive?
Is it so worth it to hurt Russia that you would find it acceptable to do so much harm to so many people? There are going to be at least some in Germany that will die this winter that wouldn't otherwise have died. There will be tens of thousands families that will have their finances devastated by just the increase in prices for the energy they need.
Germans will be paying roughly 10x what we will for NG and 5x+ what we will for electricity. This doesn't even count those who will lose work because there simply aren't the energy inputs needed to keep there employers functioning. Those will be hit doubly hard.
