Yes, I did. As far as I know, a lot of their service area cannot be restored. At least on the islands, where many buildings are simply destroyed. I’ll have to chide my friend about why FPL is doing things seemingly faster, but being in the industry, I know that the restoration process inland is a LOT easier, because the damage is a lot less.

Makes sense, but they’re just excluding the customers that can’t be restored from their total that are not restored, whereas I don’t think LCEC is doing that yet.
Also, some local political issues involved. Utility infighting of sorts, and some local politicians holding up the restoration process while rescue operations are taking place. I won’t name the city he mentioned.
