Aides for Trump have denied to multiple media outlets that the song played last weekend was "Wwg1wga." Instead, they identified the tune that the former president used at the rally as a royalty-free track called "Mirrors," written by composer Will Van De Crommert. However, Van De Crommert wrote to Newsweek that he did not authorize the use of "Mirrors" for Trump. He also emphasized he wasn't happy about his music being associated with QAnon. "I do not support Donald Trump, and I do not support or espouse the beliefs of QAnon," Van De Crommert said.

Trump doesn't need his authorization Royalty Free music is a pay once / not pay fee per performance type of music the purchaser can use all often as he wishes. Crommert and musicians like him are lone wolves that only dream about getting royalties. It is not unusual for their works to be subject to piracy either. Trump gave credit to where it belongs so nothing Mr. Van D Crommert can do about it.

The person who uses the nom-de plume Richard Feelgood caused the Q-nection by changing the song titles. Not ethical, but still brilliant!

Thank you! I knew someone here could shed some light.

Yet, PDJT has chosen this background music to significantly set off the last 8:45 minutes of a MAGA rally (first I've timed the section), so he is somewhat invested in the song now.

Anyway, you are suggesting the Q connection is just the Master Troll at work, eh?

All anyone has to do is pay BMI or ASCAP the royalty fee. The artist has zero say even if they own their own music.
