I have a feeling you can bank your blood with the hospital you’ll have the procedure at. I hate the Red Cross. When my uncle was in Korea, he had just come back from the front lines tired, dirty and hungry. The red cross was there to meet them with hot coffee and donuts. But if you couldn’t pay for them you were out of luck. I’m sure there are those on this forum that have been in battles. Did you carry money in your pockets while slogging through mud and rain? I would think not. If a local hospital has a blood drive I’ll gladly give. But the Red Cross? They can go to hell.

Everyone is talking about the big hurricane barreling into Florida, as they should be, but perhaps a far more important event in the longer term was the announcement that the Nord Stream I & II Pipelines out of Russia (which I brought to the World’s attention as President when I explained how crippling reliance on it could be for Germany and other parts of Europe. U.S. “Leadership” should remain “cool, calm, and dry” on the SABOTAGE of the Nord Stream Pipelines. This is a big event that should not entail a big solution, at least not yet. The Russia/Ukraine catastrophe should NEVER have happened, and would definitely not have happened if I were President. Do not make matters worse with the pipeline blowup. I’ve been beginning to fear that the Hegelian synthesis around the CoVid episode is to end up concluding “Well, private sector pharmaceitical and medical care just can’t be trusted, so to keep this from EVER happening again the medical industry needs to be Nationalized/socialized...

That’s a reasonable fear but the idea could be a hard sell. Someone simply has to point out that Canada’s health care system and those of most European nations were already socialized or nationalized and it didn’t help any of us get more accurate information during the covid episode. I think we all know that governments were the ones who throttled the flow of information.
