Send the NG to the border and erect concertina wire entanglements all along the Rio Grande, and make the invaders pay in blood for their invasion. Import several hundred gators from Florida and Louisiana to put in the Rio Grande as well.
Is he really going to do something or is this going to be just more talk and no action?
Again??
Finally???
It’s not just the Mexican cartels. It’s the Commie RAT Mexican immigration activists dragging the freeloaders up to our border and throwing them over the wall.
Some US politicians will not like this at all. Not at all. Much too hasty. After all, deliberation is needed, and a careful plan, and, and...their latest transfers from the Banco Nacional de Juarez haven’t cleared yet. :)
It’s about time someone did.
Another feckless symbolic action...
The border needs to be closed. This is absurd. Criminals and terrorists who break our laws (and feel entitled to force themselves ahead in line to get into this country) are permitted entry and even catered to with special treatment.
In the good ole days, terrorists were shot. Ask OBL.
This won’t make the Democrats very happy
If they are terrorists, law enforcement has no business taking the lead. It’s not a law enforcement issue. They play a supporting role, not the main effort.
Call forth the Texas militia. Hunt them down and kill them and their associates with no quarter offered. That is the only way, and our Founding Fathers displayed their genius by making the militia the ONLY institution in the US Constitution being “necessary” for a free state.
Stop screwing around, conservatives. The Founders gave us the answer to the test.
Now do Antifa.
Now do the Democrats
True.

This may be Abbott finally deciding to confront the cartelistas in the Neches Strip, There is a persistent narrative that the underlying reason for the recent school masacre fiasco was that the head of school security eas deliberately ‘off line’ as he was desperately tying to find one of the cartel cut outs in town to tell him whether the shooter was a ‘muchacho’, a made man, and therefore untouchable, or just a nut who could be killed. the Neches Strip, according to this narrative, is effectively cartel controlled country. Abbott of course knows this as does every person of any stature in Texas government. He has continued to look away knowing the cartels are not only willing to straight up kill law enforcement agents and politicians, but that they have very good lawyers on their payroll who will use the personal liberty parts of the Texas constitution and code of criminl justice to the maximum advantage. If Abbott actually has the guts to go to war with these people he is a much greater man than I ever imagined him to be.
Shoot the smugglers on the side of the road.
Leave their bodies to rot.

Very interesting, and very difficult to do. Cartels are a fascinating group of entities that are criminal gangs but organized as a sort of NGO. They penetrate all levels of government with the palo y pan methodology. Possess skill sets superior to both Mexican law enforcement and most of the military and probably are superior in this way to Texas law enforcement and the Texas NG and militia. Their operation in the gray zone between private and public makes them difficult to isolate, Unless the governor thinks he can get away with some sort of martial law regime in parts of Texas actually defeating the cartels is a virtual impossibility.
Is murder a skill set?
Yes, in a sense it is. The cartelistas do it in ways (burned alive, chopped to death, body parts scattered) that demonstrate both total lack of any boundaries and a sophisticated sense of using the news media as the propaganda arm of their operations. The whole idea is not just murder but effective mass terrorization, rather like Isis.
