That’s been going on for years. Cancer drugs were the first to use mRNA, starting about a decade ago. The knowledge gained from that is what made the mRNA covid vaccines possible.
Despite all of the fear mongering we hear about mRNA it isn’t something new, it’s used constantly by our bodies to create proteins. It’s an instruction set similar to computer code. What’s new is the ability to get that biological process to create medically valuable proteins that we want. Instead of growing proteins in a chicken egg in a factory and then injecting them into our bloodstream we can use our own cells to make the proteins.
mRNA is very fragile and while the process was theoretically possible it didn’t work until Robert Malone figured out that wrapping mRNA in a lipid would protect it. That discovery is why Malone likes to claim that he invented mRNA vaccines. He didn’t invent the vaccines but he made a discovery that makes them possible.
Traditional vaccines were made from dead or crippled viruses. They are familiar but not necessarily safer. In the Cutter Labs polio incident live virus was accidentally put in the vaccine. Traditional whole virus vaccines had been attempted for both SARS-1 and MERS, cousin viruses to Covid, but those resulted in cytokine storms that killed the test animals. China is the only country that has used a traditional vaccine for Covid and it’s not as effective as any of the Western vaccines. I don’t know what they have done to avoid the cytokine storm risk.
