The cost of a Tesla is the equivalent of 17,544 gallons of gasoline at current average price here in Hellinois.

I don’t know of a single person who’ll purchase and burn 17,544 gallons of gas in their entire lifetime. Conclusion: the cost of a Tesla makes zero economic sense for damn’ near everyone.
