We plan on keeping our ICE vehicles, but will add an EV. We have pre ordered an Aptera, which besides being the most effecient EV (production should start in first half of 2023) available, is solar capable of adding up to 40 mph range per day in optimal conditions from the sun . 4 iterations will be available. 250 mile range, 400 mile range (which we chose), 600 mile range, and 1000 mile range. It is a "funny" looking vehicle and only a 2 seater. But this is fine for us, a semi retired couple who only make long road trips occasionally. That is why we will still keep our ICE vehicle (2018 Subaru). The Aptera will be capable of using any charge level, including standard 120 volt house outlets, which will give 100-150 miles of range on an overnight 10-12 hr charge. If we only use it for my wife's commute to the bus barn where she drive's school bus, we will NEVER have to charge it. Of course we will use it more than that, but that gives you an idea on how fantastically efficient it is. Take a look at it. It might be something you're interested in.
