The sender has the only control over a lost shipment. Work through the company from which you purchased the item. That would also be your recourse for a refund.
And here is he kicker... We ordered from the shipper on the east coast in the afternoon, by the next morning they were on a truck from a west coast terminal “out for delivery”. We should have received these 6 tires basically overnight.
Bu because of incompetence and a system of chaos it took a week and a half just to get from the local terminal to us. Back and forth, back and forth, and if I had not chased them down they would have sent them back.
Now the real cause? Turns out GPS was wrong and the driver didn’t just pull up Google maps to find us. And heir system completely ignores he Zip Code map... GPS is much smarter than the Zip Code map...
This is bad management, policy, and system design from top to bottom. They need me to route this stuff, I could save them millions a year in overhead using common sense.
Ever track a package on their own system that keeps going back and forth for no reason at all even though it could have been delivered the next day? I know I am NOT THE ONLY ONE...
“The sender has the only control over a lost shipment. Work through the company from which you purchased the item. That would also be your recourse for a refund.”
What if the shipper says “you signed for it” even if you did not receive it or sign for it? THIS is the problem with “signature on file”.
And they had my phone number, all they had to do was call. But they didn’t because their system and they are smarter than I am about where I live and who I am. lol
Welcome to the new “woke” management and business model. I told the driver when he finally got here. “Throw that GPS away and learn how to read a map!”. Or just call! A two minute phone call would have cured the whole delivery issue the first time out for delivery.
I have no clue how much it cost them in wages and fuel for this mess... A BUNCH! Much more than they were paid to deliver the product. That is FOR SURE.
