I just have this feeling that Russia has been playing weak.

They are. I mean, c'mon man! They could have flattened Ukraine 10 times over without nukes. Why don't we see constant video of fighting on the news?

Russia has been very careful about not attacking any civilian areas, civilian infrastructure, etc. They are not holding back any more now.
