Last week, we reported on the FBI’s decision to make Christopher Steele primary subsource, Igor Danchenko, a paid confidential human source (CHS) from March 2017 through October 2020.
Our understanding is that this decision to elevate Danchenko would have come from high up within the Department of Justice. Exactly which top-level FBI/DOJ official approved Danchenko as a CHS is still unknown – for now.
