I had read that quote in a TS Eliot poem and thought he wrote it, was going to use it yesterday and did a search - and lo and behold!

I used part of a T. S. Eliot poem as the starting point for a SF novel I'm still working on.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time

The working title is Scout's Honor. It is essentially an Age of Sail story set ~1700 years in the future. There is FTL travel but not FTL communications. If you want to send a message someone has to take it there.
