Since they have their wings clipped it would be difficult for them to fly away.
An article I read last night claimed that the ravens will leave the tower to find food, but they always come back. It was an article about how the lack of visitors during 2020 was causing the ravens to leave more often. But then again, they said the Ravenmaster feeds them, so not sure what to believe. And I think when I was there in 1998, there were signs saying not to feed them…I’ll have to pull out my photo album to refresh my memory.
