It is pure ego on our part to think they would be interested in us and engage in secret negotiations with world leaders. That would be like us opening secret communications with the Queen Bee of a backyard hive.
I would think that, if nothing else, we provide them with some good entertainment and laffs.
I can see them saying: “Hey, let’s propagate the idea that men can be pregnant and see what happens?”
A beekeeper doesn't engage in conversation with his bees. He just harvests their honey. Who is to say the aliens/demons/whatchimacallits aren't harvesting us for something else?

They don't have to be any more intelligent than us earth folks. They just have to be more knowledgeable. Suppose their civilization didn't go through a Dark Ages. That would place them about 1200 years ahead of us in science and technology. We have been at this for merely 200 years.
