When health insurance became a govt enforced retainer for health services, the quality of the health industry suffered tremendously, and likewise the costs went through the roof. And in recent years, we’ve seen the lockstep application of govt dictated health protocols which of course were rewarded through taxpayer-funded incentives.
What is missing in your assessment is that most medical systems today are run by marginally intelligent ‘business’ people. The bottom line is the bottom line for them, and they wouldn’t recognize quality medical care if it bit them in the a**.
They come up with inane ‘quality metrics’ that mean nothing - and as long as lip service is paid to these metrics they puff their chests out and actually believe that they are the arbiters of excellent medical care. It’s beyond pathetic, but these are the people you should be addressing your complaints to.
