In the Dark Ages when conservatives had to rely on magazines and newsletters for communication there was a vetting mechanism that has disappeared with the rise of the internet. Crackpots used to be mostly relegated to circulating their delusions on mimeographed sheets.
Today with a newfound ability to grafitti the entire world wide web with nuttiness they have annointed themselves the high priests of conservatism and they are on an excommunication roll.
