The newborn bicephalic garter snake was discovered by Joshua Marshall of Hastings while clearing brush in Clay Center on Sept. 4.
"I lifted up a log and wasn't surprised to see two small snakes, but then I realized that they weren't making great progress because there were two heads," he said. Excellent! There you go. A snake divided against itself shall not stand. Therein lies the trouble with the uniparty. It is able to make great progress.

If you cut one head off, two more will grow in its place.

"Two-headed snake a unique find for herpetology lab" Rare, but not "unique" which would imply it is one of a kind. As the article noted two-headed snakes are 1 in 100,000. I remember a two-headed snake they had on display for years at the San Diego Zoo. As I was watching it (them?) one head was clearly dominate, as it would consistently move in the direction one of the heads. Or maybe they took turns when I wasn't looking or on odd and even numbered days, I don't know..

How do they decide which mouth gets to eat? Maybe they throw some dice for it and snake-eyes wins.

No. It would be a horrible insult to garter snakes that are beneficial little animals that eat vermin, while Obola and the Witch are totally evil vermin.

It was lucky to be found as this mutation is problematic in the wild.
Hope the little critter[s?] does well.

There is an ancient classical Chinese story about someone who came across a two-headed snake. At the time they thought it an omen of death so he killed it so no one else would see the it and die.

That's nothin', Hercules faced a seven headed giant serpent, not some measly bicephalic garter snake. :^)
