Abbie had the surgery about 3-4 weeks ago, and we’ve all tried to be supportive and have asked her questions about the procedure and what she can and can’t eat and for how long, so that she can be included in the meals, and not feel like she has to watch us eat. I suspect she was used to just grazing all day long and this has been a rather abrupt change for her.

It was obvious to me from some of the things she said that she didn’t like the restrictions on her eating habits. But, they want a family, and if she doesn’t lose weight, I don’t think a family will ever happen for them. So she takes it out on those around her.

If she doesn’t stick to the regimen they have her on, I suspect she is in pain rather than discomfort, and she may be angry with herself, which makes her lash out at others.

That’s how I see it, but I may be out in Left Field.

Poor thing. It’s a difficult situation to be in, and it’s hard to change a lifetime of eating habits.

I succeeded in finding pants for Frank.
