Yesterday Charles was signed in as King in a traditional ceremony. He had to sign the official document and sat down at the desk to do so. On the desk were two large parchments, an inkwell, and a small tin box of pens and things. He began to sign the documents but the desk was tiny and the tin box was in his way. As he went to sign the second doc, he looked at someone on his right to take the tin box away... with a face that was full of absolute rage and contempt! He even grimaced for a second. It was a bit shocking, especially in front of a room full of dignitaries.
Camilla and William then signed the docs as witnesses and Camilla underlined her signature. Emphasis and self importance.
Charles’ moment of utter rage at being inconvenienced told me everything I needed to know about his kingship: he will be a petulant, pompous ass who can’t control himself. As he’s been for 70 years.
