There is a video where Derek apologizes for something, but I didn’t know what hew was talking about. Everything since the initial very passionate rant has been fairly measured.

Could y’all imagine this instant celebrity happening to you. It would scare the pants off me. I’m absolutely certain I’d make some big mistakes. I can’t see why his theories and Devolution aren’t exactly the same thing. The fella lacks polish, and I like it.

My diagnosis is that one of the 3 phases of the circuit breaker failed to open and therefore, they were trying to drop flowing current with a switch that was not designed for that purpose. Notice that the other two phases opened cleanly.
Pretty wild experience. I was on the phone with a guy that was manually cranking a 161 kV line switch open to just de-energize some wire. It had the wrong parts installed, and it made that tell-tale sound all the way until the arc finally broke.
The guy on the phone with me, the foreman, just kept telling the other guy, “Keep cranking, keep cranking, don’t stop...”
I’ve tried unsuccessfully to sign up for TS - it NEVER asks me for a phone number (which I understand is part of the process). It asks for my email address which I insert and then get a notice that an email has been sent to my inbox. I never get it. Even checked spam/trash folders - nothing. I’m trying to sign-up on my laptop wonder if that’s my problem.

I used to ski when I was a kid (yep, they had skis then), but quit when I realized the sport was really going downhill.
There’s no way we’ll be able to sanitize the WH after we throw this bunch out. Steam cleaning won’t do. The stank will be industrial grade and might get the place designated environmental hazard. What sane person would want to re-occupy? Paint won’t cover up the fumes-——and how would the SS ever certify safety?
This country is not breathing right now. I pray for jolts and spasms to restart a circulation.
