It is the fundamental basis of you are not required to testify against yourself or prove your innocence. The entire jurisprudence system is based on this. So. Hypothetically, I think you are a child molester. Prove you are not. It is up to you to prove it. I have accused you of dishonesty. You enjoy the presumption of the benefit of the doubt. I would have to bring evidence to show you are lying. You do not have to bring evidence to show my accusation is untrue. Additionally I cannot say if you are or are not a child molester. So for me to level this hypothetical statement with no qualifications is irrational. 3. I believe I have the right to face my accuser. Given that some here have accused me of crimes for which I should be executed, I will simply await for them to positively identify themselves to me so I may face them in an appropriate venue.
