Your explanation of the relationship between media and academia is a good one, though I’m surprised it needed to be explained. Academia is where the infiltration and indoctrination started. From there, it was like a spider web growing and reaching into every corner of society, until we landed where we are now - we can no longer trust very many “authorities” because they’re all voices from the same echo chamber.

Donald Trump is one of the few who is willing to call B.S. on the elitist idea that certain people are more fit to lead based on their certification in the prevailing academic model of reality.
SCOTUS is another unfortunate example of legal technocrats being valued more highly than persons of experience, common sense and wisdom.
