Our talk of this Amazon series decided me; my son is a Prime member and the series is part of that pkg. We watched the first episode this evening.
As I say, I love fantasy and this was very captivating - also confusing to someone familiar with the ancient lore of Middle Earth. In the first place, Galadriel didn't do something reckless, she did something impossible! The Noldorin Elves were furious that, in Valinor, Morgoth took the Silmarils and split for Middle Earth BEFORE the First Age. The Valar forbid the Noldor to depart the Undying Lands.
Instead, the Noldor rebelled against the Valar, attacked the Telerin Elves on their nearby island of Tol Eressëa for their ships, killing many of them. The Noldor were thus banished from the Undying Lands indefinitely. Galadriel, nor any other Elves of Middle Earth, could just sail back across the sea to Valinor; they weren't called The Sundering Seas for nothing.
It was only near the end of the Third Age, with their trials with Sauron and the forgiveness of the Teleri, that they were allowed to return to Valinor. Galadriel was a high noblewoman of the Noldor and a major player in the original rebellion. At the end of the Third Age we notice her at the 'Mirror' with Frodo and the ring. Frodo offers her the ring and she resists the temptation to set up an earthly realm of her own, much like Lothlórien but more powerful.
She realizes, as she resisted the temptation of the Ring of Power, that she has 'passed the test' and can return to Valinor as Galadriel, a besmirched Noldorin Princess.
I heard the thunder too. A couple of people in the crowd seemed to be looking upward when it clapped.

I heard “key” and “keystone” a couple of times. We all talked about it back in the day... perhaps PA is the keystone, or with Q’s double meanings, it is also a marker of some kind?
