Amazon fully supported the lockdowns that made them hundreds of millions or maybe billions of dollars in deliveries. They are no friend.
It seems there is a common theme to this thread:
“Amazon sucks.”
“I rarely use Amazon”
“Do not buy from Amazon!!!!”
“They treated me like a criminal.”
I only use a credit card for Amazon. A while back I had an unexplained charge, I hit “dispute” on my online statement with the credit card company, and that was that. They sorted it out with Amazon.
Btw: If a person used your debit card without your knowledge or authorization, your liability is protected by the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, which gives you the right to challenge fraudulent transactions.
If your wife only orders from Amazon weekly, comsider yourself lucky. Mine orders daily, sometimes multiple times.
Never use a debit card to make purchases. It does not carry the same protections as a credit card, and if you are stiffed, you won’t get your money back.
Debit cards are good for withdrawing pocket money or depositing a check at an ATM.
Why do you shop at Amazon and feed the enemy?
It’s also expensive.
Never, ever, ever use a debit card, online.
Use a credit card or a third party payment service.
Sure you didn’t click the button twice?

Does Truist Bank have branches? The best place to do this stuff is in person at a branch.
I have a corporate debit card, never used. Got a notice from the bank that it has been compromised....really, how?
It has never left the secure place in my home.
The company now uses only credit cards for purchases.
Years ago my banker daughter told us to use credit cards not debit cards for the same reason that loss is limited. Over the years we’ve traveled and had fraudulent charges, but have been reimbursed. So credit cards yes, debit cards no. Pay off monthly, stay disciplined and don’t pay interest.
