But it assumes an equal balance of technology from the insurgents. We saw how a simple cell phone could send January 6 protestors to jail and torture. Francis Marion today would have to contend with drones bombing him from control centers based in Las Vegas.

The key is how far the federal entity would go against its own people to preserve its existence.
