New footage of a downed Ukrainian kamikaze drone that tried to attack the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant

As previously reported, the downed drone fell on the roof of the special building of the nuclear power plant. After the impact, the wearable charge detonated, but sources in the city administration report that there are no infrastructure damage and no human casualties.

The intended target of the drone was a storage facility for spent nuclear fuel.

We will address some common misconceptions we noticed:

- Zaporozhie: The city is not under Russian Armed Forces control, only the nuclear power plant is — which carries the same name. (And its surroundings)

- HIMARS: there’s no such thing as a a “HIMARS type shell”, they’re just normal guided MLRS shells. There’s nothing special about the shell that makes it difficult to intercept. All MLRS are notoriously difficult to intercept due to the nature of their trajectory/approach to target.

- Russia is cut off from supplies in Kherson: — no. Russia is not Ukraine. You can’t completely cut them off from supplies. They don’t exclusively rely on land bridges like Ukraine does. They put down their own pontoon bridges when needed, they can also air lift equipment if necessary. It’s not an ideal situation but it’s not an isolating situation to them. Kherson can always be re-supplied through Crimea. This is the sole reason Russia rushed there in initial days, it’s strategically very important to control that border.

- Ukrainian command: there’s no such thing. NATO controls the war and the strategy. NATO advisors, NATO orders and NATO weapons, ex-NATO military personnel: from troops to officers are on the frontlines. This is not by coincidence.

- Arms control deal between Russia and US: such deals require trust. Russia does not trust the west anymore. They have publicly stated that. Therefore, the chances of a deal on arms control between the two countries are very, very slim.

- Kharkov is getting hit but no action— these statements are simply clueless. People do not realize the scale of this war. The equipment and fortifications are insane. This has never happened in history, positions with such fortifications have not been observed in any war in the past. It takes pounding and pounding and pounding before the city is strategically weakened. Every hit costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, we can assure you that they’re all strategically dismantling Ukrainian positions. Kharkov is huge, it is crawling with Ukrainian troops and equipment.
