Three Arkansas law enforcement officers have been suspended after outrage at a video showing two deputies and an officer striking a suspect under arrest.
Cops said Randall Worcester, 27, was making threats to a convenience store worker in Mulberry, near Little Rock, on Sunday morning.
Police said when the officers confronted him, he pushed a deputy to the ground and punched the back of his head, leading to the arrest seen in the clip.
But footage showed the three officers on top of him, repeatedly striking him with clenched fists.
The video was posted to Snapchat with the stunned account asking who they needed to send it to.
Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante issued a statement Sunday evening, saying two county deputies were suspended in the state police's investigation into the incident and the sheriff's office's internal review. A Mulberry police officer also was suspended.
'I hold all my employees accountable for their actions and will take appropriate measures in this matter,' Damante said.

Punching, kneeing and smashing a suspect's head on the ground, all caught on video and online all over the place?
Crawford County is not going to be happy about the check those deputies just wrote.
(The guy was also a idiot, that doesn't excuse the cops from being equal idiots)
Exactly.
Dude knocking an officer to the ground is one thing, kicking him in the head is attempted murder on the streets.
I see why the officers lost their cool.
If you punch a cop you can expect to get your ass beat. Not saying it’s right or wrong, that’s just what will happen. It’s been a truth of life for pretty much all human history. Well, except for the days when they would just kill you on the spot.
I watched the video. Seemed the suspect was fighting the cops even while on the ground. Using his legs to kick at the officers. May have been trying to bite them as well
Suspect sure didn’t look very beat up in his mug shot
There is zero excuse for what the cops did.
It’s what they did in the 1950s through the 1970s to keep us safe in our beds.
Back then, a dead cop also resulted in a dead perp—not a prisoner who the Left will cherish.
Testosterone is down in our population...
In another day, they might beat the crap out of him and send him home, and don’t come back.
...no excuse???
There are 3 firearms on the cops’ belts
The arrestee is trying to break free from a lawful arrest. Obviously the bad guy is not submitting. The bad guy likely hasn’t been searched at the point where the video starts. The cops are, corporately, using pain compliance: strikes to the thigh; ringing the bad guy’s bell. One cop is attempting to cuff the bag guy.
In that situation...in totality...the cops are in a life and death struggle. They don’t want to be shot or stabbed or cut. The cops are aware that their safety holsters are no guarantee that a firearm, cannot be obtained by the bad guy.
Looks ‘brutal’?
With luck, all...including the arrestee... will survive the event.
Sure there is.
In a perfect world when one attacks another in any sort of physical way, including cops, the attackee should have every right to inflict any amount of pain, damage and even death on the attacker that they deem appropriate.
Keep your hands, spit and missiles to yourself and you won’t get the beat down.
I think they did good !!
Officers are not supposed to lose their cool.
This is over reaction by many degrees.
Future irs agents in training. “Just like a mob enforcer, irs is there” sung to the old state farm jingle. Pay up...or else.
You notice they only stopped the beating when they realized they were being filmed. That is very telling about their motives.
Agreed. Once you’re arrested your well being is their responsibility. Beating somebody whom is defenseless is a crime, not just unprofessional.
I get that being a cop is very hard and often requires restraint against all of your emotions that peak when another officer is harmed.
This is unacceptable though. Beating somebody that is already under arrest just makes you a criminal thug.
If he was already cuffed, then it's just felony assault and battery.
The police are part of the problem.
Never punch a cop. 😣
Another factor:
In their area, are the DAs letting off the perps?
Even if their DA is hard on the perps, the overall national feeling is permeating society (and cops, I suspect).
