The photo image tears at the heart, but I’d be interested to know why someone was present to take a picture during such a terrible moment? I would’ve expected the boy’s parents to have been the one’s telling little brother what was soon going to happen to his big brother, but not all families work in the same way.

I do hope the photographer got Little Brother’s permission to post this online. Were it me, I would never wish to view that picture of that moment.

Based on the background, I would safely guess this was taken at home by a parent to commemorate the moment for posterity. I would also guess the pic was posted on Facebook or other social media....not for clicks but to show the humanity and reality of life for some.

I see nothing wrong with posting this pic. It breaks my heart but I would Cherish a pic of me and my Mom during her last days.....never occurred to me at the time to memorialize the moment.
