Shakespeare wrote far better prose & poetry than that!
In all of his plays his aristocratic characters spoke in verses of iambic pentameter — "If music be the food of love, play on." [Twelfth Night]
He also wrote sonnets in iambic pentameter.
Our family was fortunate to see his First Folio preserved in a glass case at the Lilly Library on the Indiana University campus, as part of their Rare Treasures exhibit celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2010 Q2.
