$33,000 a year.
My high school was free, but I got punched in the head, saw drug deals, a gun fell out of a guy’s pocket in gym class, and a girl was giving head in the bathroom for quarters...
My parents made sure to enroll us in a private Christian academy. Even if they had to take extra jobs. By the time I turned 18/19, I went to work asap and refused money from them so did my brothers and sisters as gratitude.
That same private Christian academy has a longer wait than the Green Bay packers, in years. My nieces and nephews are starting in 3 years.
Tell me: which school makes sure that the parents are MANDATED to clean the school grounds, mow the church lawn and recite the Lord’s prayer every day, at an assigned date or their kid gets expelled? No matter how rich you are..
“for quarters...”
Damn, went to the wrong high school.

Did your parents pay state, local, property taxes?
A rough estimate... if 1 out of 4 households have 2 children in K-12, and each house through annual taxation contributes $5k each... that amounts to $10k for each K-12 child.
There are affluent towns where that annual tax “contribution” is easily doubled/tripled.
