Yes,the Gay State is often referred to as Taxachusetts. But particularly when compared to nearby states our taxes aren't that high.Yes,New Hampshire has no sales tax *or* income tax but Vermont,Maine,Connecticut,New York and New Jersey have much higher taxes.
However,there is a ballot question this November to establish a graduated income tax.Many previous attempts to do so have failed but given that this state is more Maoist than it's ever been I fear it might pass. Their campaign is...wait for it..."it's simply a millionaires' tax". Yah,right!

Wow!!! As someone who left New York (1979, was born and raised their,) moved to the People's Republic Of Washington, (Western Wash. otherwise known as the Commie side) I've never had the pleasure to talk with
millionaire. Now, wink, wink, do you as a millionaire, drive the same Rolls Royce everyday, or have one for each day of the month.
