Just dang. These anecdotal stories(and they are too many to ignore) are drop dead true and devistating, yet nobody gives them credence other than friends and loved ones.

My son caught COVID on Christmas Eve 2021. No vaccines. Minimal symptoms - he went home, went to bed and was mostly fine by the end of Christmas day. He tested the following Monday and was COVID positive.

My wife had minor symptoms - (vacc’d x 3 - she finally listened to me and wont get any more)
She also tested the following Monday and was Covid positive.

On 12/29/2021, I had a cough\fever\headache onset about 20:00
Still had it on 12/30/2022
Still had it except the headache was gone on 12/31/2022. I started taking Ivermectin. That only lasted 2 days.(my wife and son threw it away when i was brained fogged out of it)
Still had a cough and was weak on 1/2/2022 then it all came back with a vengeance that night.

I was out of it from 01/02/2022 to 01/13/2022. hardly any recollection of anything.
My wife and son wanted to take me to the hospital...I guess i went ballistic and threatened ‘em all.
I remember watching black and white movies on the TV on my dresser. I don't have a TV on my dresser.
I lost 28 pounds in 11 days.
I have bradycardia (slow pulse) and it had jumped from the 55-65 range to 85-105 range.
My oxygen went from 95-98 to 80-91
I couldn't stand to take a shower.
I was dehydrated.
My mind was fogged and I was mostly talking gibberish until I started coming out of the fog (I'm still not totally out of the fog) on 01/18/2022 - my granddaughter's birthday.

The symptoms that stayed with me for awhile:
- shortness of breath on minimal exertion
- chest pain like my chest was being pulled side to side
- my calves, ankles and feet started holding water(edema)

I go to V.A. healthcare and explained all this to my PCP.

- Gave me a spitload of tests - ultrasound on my legs looking for blood clots
- echo cardiogram
- EKG
- CT scan chest
- Pulmonary Function Test
- spitload of lab test
- oncology stuff
- a pulsometer office walk around. My standing pulse was 75 within 8 steps it was 180.
As of Feb-March 2022 - they agreed these were COVID aftereffects but nothing of any concern showed up.

they said to monitor it.

I had a test done for long term COVID immunity and I have the immunity.

Currently, Pulse\Oxygen levels are back to pre-Covid levels.
Edema in my legs\ankles\feet are being taken care of via water pills.
Pain is gone in my chest
I no longer huff and puff after a few feet of movement.
I think I am almost out of the brain fog...some things are still fuzzy when I try to grab for a word or phrase. My wife thinks that has nothing to do with COVID (too funny).

sorry this is too\so long.

I guess God isn't done with me yet...

Oh my, what a story! Thabk you for sharing it. Yes, God is not done with you yet! :)

It sounds like your O2 levels really plummeted and you are Blessed to to still be with us. I’m so glad you are!

You know, your story illustrates something else important. There is still so much we don’t know about Covid and its long-term effects. Yes, we know much more than we did when it first hit, but there is so much more to learn.

Sorry, after feeling so very sad for what you (and countless others) have gone through (those who survived), I now feel so angry at the arrogant idiots who thought it was a was a good idea to mess around with GoF research on such a hinky virus in a leaky Chinese lab. Pure arrogance and insanity.
