He really was.
I was fine until I reached my 20's and did too much MJ and screwed up my mind. I ended up this groveling young guy who needed a nurse maid for a wife.
It's what I got but 20 years later, I climbed out of the hole I was in and embraced health and wholeness, but my wife didn't want emotional authenticity - just to play house and hold onto her her millions of grudges against me (like her mother was with her dad - a generational curse).
Finally circumstance were such that I actually HAD to move out for an Assistant District Attorney job in New Mexico.
We've been separated ever since. Much better for me. Paul says if you're married and separated from a believer (she's a Christian) don't divorce her and don't marry another.
So it looks like celibacy for me and it's OK. I have so much more peace and serenity now and Jesus' moment-to-moment presence is so real now for me.
"It is good for a man not to touch a woman" runs through my heart a lot these days. We'll see where things end up, but if I ended up like Paul, I can't imagine any better way to end up. I believe Paul has received great eternal rewards in Heaven and I am looking to also "fight the good fight" until I finish my course that "henceforth there is an indestructible crown" waiting for me.
Having a place near Jesus, Papa (the Father), and Sarayu (the Holy Spirit) is something I wish above all else. In high school me and my buddies would meet on the weekends at our Friend Steve Freeze's house at all hours. It was called Freeze's Diner. I loved it. We'd shoot the sh#t until who knows how late. Loved it. I look for the same fellowship with God's family forever. Starting now. Cool stuff.
Don't know why I'm going on and on here, but did you see the movie, "The Shack"? I read the book but never saw the movie.
