Wow, this subject must have hit a nerve. Look how many responses.

Very little said about this but it is a pretty big deal in our culture.

“Very little said about this but it is a pretty big deal in our culture.”

My opinion is borrowed from Rush who spoke about it decades ago on one of his shows. I never forgot it.

Feminist organizers (commies) realized that it was necessary to break down the family unit.

They began to manipulate the American women by telling them how put-upon and abused they were by “just” being homemakers and stay-at-home mothers. The women said, “Hey! Yeah! I want equality!”

They demanded to join the workforce. Great for the employers. Before this, they paid the employees — mostly men — a wage decent enough that they could support a family well. When women showed up they began in lower positions making some money, but not a lot. And, since the wives had these incomes to supplement the home, employers could get away with paying men less.

Women got all harsh, brash, and competitive with the men. It created an adversarial environment at work and at home.

Great for the men, too, because they didn’t have to be responsible for providing for the family, i.e., their job, per Scripture. It took a load off. Sadly, most men don’t realize they’re feminists because they expect their wives to take on the provider role. (And a lot of them are the ones bitching and moaning about how terrible women are now.)

Because of this, women lost their softness, propriety, and kindness. Their kids don’t have a clue what a real mother is.

Anyhow, my opinion, mostly borrowed from Rush.
