The writer and historian Victor Davis Hanson is one of the most serious thinkers of our time. When he says something, people should listen.
Following the raid on Trump’s Florida home, Hanson is saying that the FBI is beyond redemption. That it cannot and should not be saved in its current form.
To hear Hanson saying this should alarm people. He is not the type of man who engages in outrageous talk. He means this, for real.
When asked about the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Fla., professor, author, and political commentator Victor David Hanson said, “right now, we don’t have the rule of law in Washington,” and added that, “The FBI is beyond redemption.”

It’s not the least bit outrageous. The FBI has zero credibility with millions of Americans, including me. There are no reforms that will restore that credibility. The FBI must be shuttered and it’s functions move to state and local law enforcement. No one working at the FBI should ever work in government again at any level. Some are corrupt and the rest are complicit in their silence and inaction. People lose their jobs everyday in the private sector. It should be the same in the public sector.
1. DHS was only supposed to be a place where the various agencies would send a representative so they could deconflict investigations and aid in helping each other. Instead of the compartmentalization that occurred pre9/11
2. As with all thing government, they grow out of control. Exotically when it come to guys with guns.
DHS has armed agents to protect the Homeland. FBI has armed agents to protect the Homeland.
Sooooo…..why do we need two agencies doing the same thing?

People lose their jobs everyday in the private sector. It should be the same in the public sector.…….Money!!!!
I don’t remember seeing the media do human interest stories with CSX, when 1000s of employees lost their jobs when a hedge fund took over and started tearing the company apart.
But we’re all supposed to feel sorry for some bureaucrat that will get a one week vacation during a shutdown. And they all get back pay, anyway.
Not one department in our federal government that people trust.
Even the Soviet Union had to reimage their secret police several times due to bad behavior. The Cheka became the NKVD became the KGB.
Of course the name change didn’t change the behavior. We are not Communist yet, so maybe a dismantling will do the job. We also need to get rid of some of these similar agencies created under the name of “Homeland Security”.
VDH looks as somber as I have ever seen him.
Over the past two years, Prof. Hanson has been steadily more and more alarmed about the extreme police and totalitarian state arising in the USA and he is no longer holding his punches. I've been surprised at his tone in his podcasts, but it is entirely consistent with this new statement. He does continue to say he knows a lot of rank and file at the FBI and other government agencies, that they are good people, and it is the corrupt and thoroughly rotten leadership that is the problem. But the underlings are not voting with their feet to leave the rotten and corrupt organizations. I wonder how long before he begins to say that the rank and file "just following orders" are a problem, too.

Don’t need to fire anyone. Just a beautiful office in Nome, AK. Land phone no internet and a cot. Let’s go to work FBI. DOJ, IRS, DEA, DOE.
Please add me to the VDH ping list.
Thanks.
Both of you have been added to the VDH list.

Yes. I think he understands that the Biden Administration would happily arrest him, toss him in solitary, and deny him medical care. He's a conservative.
