What is the signifance of the city Lod, or Lydda? Do you have some idea?

Lod is the home of Ben Gurion International airport, the largest in Israel. So if Seal Lod was an actual comm, it would mean that you were sealing ingress and egress to Israel for civilian flights. It may be a comm. I don't know.
