Now in 1969, it was 19.9 at the gas station I saw when my parents passed it.

19.9 was the lowest I ever paid. It was in Columbia, Missouri when I was in college in 1970 or 1971.
We had a station named “U-Pump Ethyl” which always cracked me up. It was the first self-service gas station I ever used. But the name is still hilarious.
