Many years ago at my grandmother’s house they had what was called the party line for the telephone service. That meant that up to nine other households could listen in on your conversations and you would never know it. We reached that place in the digital world a long time ago. I currently have three cell phones, one for personal use, one for business use, and one for political use. I’ve had as many as five at one point in my career. I suggest that people limit their communications, particularly with loved ones, on digital devices to the bare minimum needed to convey a message.

Yep, I remember party lines. We didn’t have one, but my cousin, on a farm did. They had to recognize their ring. It was weird.
