I just read that there were Secret Service agents present at the time of the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago.
I also read that a warrant was never produced.
What was the SS supposed to do . . . who has the power to do what at a time like this ?
From past reading I believe the SS is there to protect the President from harm. Seeing as Trump was not harmed they did their job.
But if I were them I would have NOT turned off any cameras.
Yup…..and, IMHO, there are ways to challenge it, without resorting to the “cartridge box” as some would like to say.
But we continue to elect the same old POSs that roll over for this nonsense and, more than likely, are happy about it as it secures their positions.
The secret service is there to physically protect the President. I would imagine the FBI gave them notice. And they stepped aside, as they should.
They are not Pretorian Guards.
A lot of people think Trump is a Caesar. He is just a citizen.
The CBS evening news said that Donald Trump has a copy of the search warrant and could show the media the details of the search warrant. I’ve seen enough tv shows where the police actually give the defendant or someone who represents the defendant a copy of the search warrant. The FBI would be in legal trouble if the manager of Mar-a-lago wasn’t given a copy of the search warrant.

A lawyer who was at the scene said they had a warrant and they showed it to her after much heated debate. The warrant was not given to them, nor was a copy provided.

Yeah, no. When the cops/Feds/etc. become tyrants it becomes a civic duty to oppose them.

The warrant issued 8/5, so there was plenty of time for DoJ and DHS as well as FBI and SS to coordinate the service.
Curiously, James M Murray, a Trump appointee, resigned as Director of the Secret Service on July 30.

I believe some of Trump’s personal security stayed with him when he was first elected and worked with the SS. Wondering if he’s still got something like that - he needs people that are loyal to HIM personally.

The Biden White House and DOJ have made it clear that anyone opposed to their agenda is viewed as a possible threat.
After all of that, it’s no surprise the FBI would be weaponized to target Trump.
“Assassination” might seem like a stretch, but it’s the administration’s own actions that invited this comparison.
Just guessing; but thinking the Secret Service is chartered with protection and safety of personnel not property. And, also guessing that the FBI is the tall hog at the trough within the government hierarchy.

It is true...we continually elect (and re-elect) the wrong people. That’s on us.
We need to be more discriminating and demand RESULTS in return for our votes.
SS have no authority over the FBI.

They were probably with Trump in New York.
