Trump still needs to invoke the 5th. If he says anything at all, even if it’s true, his response can be portrayed as a lie to a biased jury of Trump haters, and they will convict him regardless of the truth.

We all have that risk with a jury. Basically what you’re saying is the jury system doesn’t work.

But here’s your problem. Pleading the fifth doesn’t help him with that jury if they’re hell bent on convicting him in any circumstance.
